Chemicals Risk Management e-guide are designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in improving their chemicals risk management performance. They present a systematic and structured approach to establishing a new or enhancing an existing Chemicals Risk Management System (CRMS) within a company.

Chemicals Risk Management e-guide provide an overall understanding of the key elements required to ensure effective risk management of chemicals, explains how these elements are interconnected, and offers practical guidance on how they can be implemented in practice.

The aim of the e-guide is to:

  • bring together the main topics of chemicals management in one place,
  • explain them in a simple and user-friendly way, and
  • provide users with a starting point for further, more in-depth exploration.

The e-guide has been developed under the aegis of the LIFE FitforREACH-2 project “Chemicals Risk Management and Assessment of Alternatives: Tools and Best Practices to Support Circularity, Create More Sustainable Products and Avoid Regrettable Substitution — LIFE FitforREACH-2”, which aims to support companies in complying with chemicals legislation and improving the safe management of chemicals in their daily operations.

The Project is co-financed with the support of the EU LIFE Programme.
